Now, I post on a few Christian sites where we talk about, and discuss issues of Faith. I am regularly called a heretic, and have been accused of being in a cult, simply because I view Jesus to be Gods son, and not God himself. I am often condemned to their version of hell, and have been wished a speedy journey to that destination. One individual even told me to enjoy the BBQ.
These are self proclaiming Christians mind you. They were, in effect, wishing for my death, desiring that I burn and suffer for all eternity. All because I view Jesus to be the Son of God, and not God Himself.
I think it safe to conclude that their wisdom is unspiritual, demonic, and earthly. Surely they are false to the truth of our Creator, as if the truth was in them they would not have cursed me to their version of hell. These types are in every Christian denomination from Catholics to Christadelphians, and “We know them by their fruits.”
They come in the name of Christ, masquerading as Gods children, but are inwardly ravening wolves. They cause disorder, and are vile in practice. They are earthly and unspiritual, not knowing the truth that is in Christ our Lord.
They spew venom in Christ's name, cursing those whom believe differently than themselves. They often times demand that others believe exactly as they do. Instead of being faithful stewards, they succumb to their natural selves, causing disorder, breeding animosity among the brethren.
What does it mean to be a faithful steward, then? A faithful steward is one who is humble, and obedient to Gods will. I believe to be a steward is to be a light to others instead of a thorn. We are to become vessels for God, and servants to our fellow man. We need to understand how our words, and dispositions either reflect the truth in Christ, or hinder it.
We simply need to understand what faith is, and desire to walk in the will of God, and in a manner pleasing to Him. We need to show ourselves approved by God, so that others might see our good works, and come to glorify our Creator themselves.
Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
We truly need to humble ourselves, just as we need to be faithful to our calling. Our hope for righteousness will be validated by Grace only when we submit ourselves to Gods will. When we do this, the Grace we gain through our Faith, will then produce fruits of the Spirit. Only then will we cease from producing the unspiritual fruits of iniquity, and begin producing good works through Gods immeasurable Grace.
We need to desire His will above our own. We need to have faith enough to know that God can and will accomplish His righteousness in us. This should be our hope, and our desire: To be made righteous through faith in Gods Son, so we might help lead others to glorify our Father in Heaven.
We should pray for those who would wish evil on us, and have compassion for them, for they do not realize the love God has for them, and the love He has for all people. If they knew the love God has for us all, they would not wish such evil on anyone. Their hearts are full of hate, and bitterness. They thrive on disorder, and creating divisions.
Our prayers should be for Christ to release them from their bondage, and that they will be lead into the will of God.
Remember:
Luk 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Lets continue in Matthew.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Unfortunately, not everyone who calls on the Lord will enter into the kingdom of Heaven. There are many “religious folk” who set their minds to do “good” works in attempt to earn their way into the kingdom. Instead of submitting to Gods will, where they would produce good works naturally, they follow after their own will, and produce the “fruits” of iniquity. All the while believing that they are doing works for God.
Their hopes are not set on righteousness, but on that of gain. You see, It is only by grace through faith that we produce appropriate works at all. It is not of our own doing, but the gift of God. When we utilize fruits of the Spirit, our deeds become pleasing to God, as they ultimately stem from the gifts He has given us.
Our hopes need to first be set on becoming righteous before Him. We need to desire His will, and value it above our own. God deals with the heart of man. It is from the heart that we make known our hopes, and desires to Him. When we truly have hope for His righteousness, God will develop His righteousness in us. But, if our hopes are for selfish gain, and if we are not willing to submit our selves to His will, then our hope is not hope at all, but rather greediness.
Remember, “Faith works through love” (Galatians 5:6). When we value love as we ought, our faith will bring us into Gods grace. Our love for Him must be greater than our love for self. Otherwise we will likely continue on the path of destruction, never knowing the life that is in His Son. Our minds should be set on righteousness always, and our hearts continually on the things of God.
We cannot be as God wishes us to be if we don't love Him, and desire His will above our own. God desires our complete dedication to Him, complete dedication to His son, and to know “them” through His word, and though the Spirit He has given us. He wants us to be filled with His grace. Grace being the substance of our faith.
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
If you remember anything from these posts, remember that hope will produce
faith, and that faith will produce Grace, and that Grace will produce works. Grace being the substance of things hoped for, and works being the evidence of things not seen.
They all tie in together, so we might show ourselves approved. It is through our hope for righteousness that God gives us faith. Because of our faith in Christ, and through the works of Grace, we become the lights of the world.
Others see and notice the fruits we are producing. This is why we need to strengthen our faith, and walk in it at all times, showing ourselves approved by God. Otherwise, the influence we have on others will be limited, and we will never know what could have been achieved had we only walked in His Grace, and through our Faith in His son.
